In August 2009, KLHF, along with the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, distributed back packs and school
supplies to over 4,000 elementary school children.  This year, the following schools participated in the program: Riverside Elementary, Mater Academy, Dr. Robert Ingram Elementary, Santa Clara Elementary, Shadowlawn Elementary, Mater East Academy, Thena Crowder Elementary and South Side Elementary.    

We are grateful to our sponsors Aetna, Boost Mobile and Walmart for their support to this project.  Thanks to their contribution, we have been able to reach more children and distribute more supplies in a difficult economic year.
